Spring Scrapbooking Layouts

Hello!! You read the title right… I’ve been scrapbooking again! I tried to change up my format last year (to a TN), but my creative heart lies in a 12×12 format. I used to scrap sooo much before I became a full-time #plannergirl… and I’ve been feeling the itch to get back to some good old-fashioned scrapping! So, enjoy my fresh new layouts!

I took tons of photos for spring and Easter this year, so I scrapped a few of my favorite photos of my birdies. Most of the supplies are from my stash of Dear Lizzy and Paige Evans papers.

Workspace Wednesday | Storage Solutions Part 1

I’m starting a new series here, that will be posted on Wednesdays for the next several weeks. It’s all about storage for all your planner/scrapbooking/crafting stuff! I love looking at Pinterest, other blogs, and YouTube to see how other crafters corral all their supplies. I think I’ve got a system that works for me (at least for the time being!). It’s an ever-evolving system, so I hope you’ll get a few ideas along the way that will help you organize. Organizing is my favorite!!!

For this first installment, I want to show you my Planner Society kit storage system. I subscribed to these awesome kits for several months last year, and as a Christmas gift, I am able to continue receiving these kits. Thanks, Mom.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

But, with these kits there comes a need to store them in a practical, yet inspiring way, so I’ll continue to use my kits and enjoy seeing them in my crafty space. The contents are too beautiful to sit in a box, unused and unloved.

First, I found this beautiful hanging shelf at Michaels. It has four sections, and I saw opportunity here! Originally, it had a pretty pink blossom print on the background of the shelves, but why not make it my own and add some Planner Society papers as a background? I love how that turned out.

On the shelves, I have my pocket tns and inserts, sequins from past kits, the tiny sticker book, TPS washi, a cute glitter pouch from my secret santa that has the current month’s stickers and accessories, and some office supplies like paperclips and binder clips. For my previous kits, I found a couple cute acrylic drawer units at TJ Maxx (here’s a similar unit at Target). They fit the kit accessories great, and I love that I can see through them to see what I have. I have the drawers sorted by month.

I also found this three compartment bin at Target, and I sort my fancy paperclips, sticky notes, and various other little trinkets in here.

Instagram Anniversary!

A year ago today, I decided to create a separate Instagram account for all my crafty adventures. I had no idea how fun it would be to focus on this one topic for an Instagram account! Things really took off once I started sharing my Happy Planner obsession! I was excited to find other planner girls that had the same love for planners as I do. I am so grateful for everyone that takes the time to like a photo, or shares a comment. Long live Instagram! Feel free to follow me @jenmaniscreates. IMG_7241f0790-img

Pink Forest Holiday Boxes

Hello!! Hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I think I am finally recovering! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving day; it was quiet and I had time to craft! I worked on my December Daily album, and I will share soon. I also worked Friday & Saturday and somehow I had time to go shopping too! It’s a busy time of year, isn’t it?!

Well, today I wanted to share a fun Christmas craft I made earlier this month. I was inspired by a craft in the Pat Catan’s holiday craft catalog. All of my favorite things came together for these little boxes: pink trees, deer, lace, washi tape, and pearls. I love how they turned out! Don’t know if I will put anything in them yet, but they are just so pretty to look at!

Thanks for stopping by today!
