December Mini Album #1

Happy December!!!  I can’t believe it’s here.
I love this time of year… and I get so excited seeing all the bloggers/scrappers December Dailies out there.  I’ll be documenting this month, for sure, too!
The album I’m sharing today is an Envelope Album.  I have six different, decorated envelopes in the album, and I’ll be printing out my photos and writing down the details on the backs of the photos, and then add them to an envelope.  I can already tell I’m not gonna have a lot of extra time to put together an elaborate album, so I think this cute little book will suit me just fine!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I have also made a couple other special mini albums just for Christmas, and I’ll share them shortly!  ๐Ÿ™‚
I really love Christmas!   โ™ฅ

Thankful Journal

Hi everyone!!  Hope you are enjoying the weekend so far!
Just stopping by today to share my little Thankful Journal that I’ve been working on this month.  This journal is a class by Dear Lizzy herself.  ๐Ÿ™‚
I have really enjoyed making this album- there were some really great techniques used and I love all the textures in the album!  I had to improvise on some of the pages, but I got to use up some of my stash!!  This album is a perfect reminder of all I’m thankful for.
Here is a peek at some of my pages:
The feather I used is from one of my own birds- Jake!

Loved making this leaf flower page!

I didn’t have any canvas on hand for these mini pages, so I used doilies instead!

Thanks for stopping by!  ๐Ÿ™‚

Envelope Books

Happy Sunday everyone!!
I have a couple albums to share with you today!  Back in May, I took a Something Splendid class (by Elizabeth Kartchner).  The Envelope Book class was so much fun!  It’s such a cool way to store some fun notes and pictures I’ve been saving up over the years.  Here are two albums I’ve made so far (another one’s on the way!) using what I learned from the class.
Enjoy!

This one is the first book I made…. it’s very girly and I included lots of little notes, and Ziggy cartoons, and pictures of my loves inside the album.

Cool fact:  The glassine envelopes I used, well it took me a few months to find these!  lol!!  But, I finally found some at this cool prim country store we frequent.  They were a bargain too- and came with lots of ribbon, as well as pre-stamped!  Score!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I made this album for my mom’s birthday.  I used Basic Grey Life of the Party papers, and K & Co. diecut pieces.  Inside the envelopes, I included my fave pics of my mom throughout the years, and some confetti to fall out of the envelopes as well!

I cut the pictures into the shape of Polaroid pictures for fun.  ๐Ÿ™‚

This was a fun class– definitely check it out if you get a chance!

Thanks for stopping by!  ๐Ÿ™‚

Unlock Your Story

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to stop by and share my album I made for Elizabeth Kartchner’s online class, Unlock Your Story. I really, really enjoyed her class and I learned a few new techniques as well ๐Ÿ™‚

I improvised a little because I just used the supplies I had on hand. I used a Maya Road album, which had a combo of canvas and chipboard pages. I also added an acrylic tag page. Of course, I also used lots of Dear Lizzy supplies too! I loved learning how to make the rolled flowers, and I tried pleating for the first (successful) time! I used lots of glimmer mist through the album as well.
The story I told through my album was just a retrospective of this year; it’s been challenging and wonderful at the same time. I included pics of my family, our home & neighborhood and of course my 3 little beautiful birdies too!

Inspirations

Thought I’d share some lovely things today…

What a wonderful fall day!!! Sometimes you just have to step back & enjoy all the good around you.
I have also been enjoying my online scrapbooking class- taught by Elizabeth Kartchner. I have always admired her work in Creating Keepsakes magazine. Here is my project so far….I have used so many techniques I’ve never done before with this class– gutting a book (& nearly breaking my wrist LOL!!!!!), sewing on paper & using different materials.

One more thing… I recently came across this upcoming Class for a Cause by Iris Babao Uy. The proceeds of the class go to the Philippine Red Cross. I think you can still sign up if you go HERE.

Oh, and my birthday is only a few weeks away!!

Thanks for stopping by:)
