Mid-Year Memory Planner Update!

Today I wanted to share an update on my Memory Planning. Typically, in the middle of the year I get kind of restless with my planners and I want something different to plan (& play) with. This year is no different!

When I started feeling the itch to change my Memory Planner, I actually bought a spiral Recollections planner to take the place of my current one (which was the Empowered Women Happy Planner pictured below). I still couldn’t get into it. So, I watched a few YouTube videos, which always inspire me in some way, and I switched to my Monthly Happy Planner (with florals, below). I have been wanting to use this planner so badly this year, but I couldn’t work into my rotation. It’s the perfect setup for my memory planning! Mid-Year Memory Planner UpdateThis is my Empowered Women Happy Planner, one of the final spreads I completed in it. I found the colored section at the top distracting, and too difficult to work into my design. I also sometimes have tons of photos for a week, then the next few and far between. This also makes it difficult to design my spread.Mid-Year Memory Planner UpdateHere’s my solution:

I am using the monthly pages for memories and some decoration, and I will use the monthly goal pages to record more goals and memories. I took out the daily to-do pages and replaced two pages with blank Happy Planner/ Happy Notes pages. The final two pages in the monthly planner are already for notes, and have gorgeous florals on them. So, I need four pages per month to do a weekly spread. Two Happy Notes pages and the two notes pages already in the planner make it work perfectly. I have the gorgeous Mambi Fun Florals sitcker book, so I’m just adding in floral stickers on my Happy Notes pages.

Here are a sampling of my first few spreads:Mid-Year Memory Planner UpdateIMG_2240How I make the photo collage:

In Lightroom, I have all the photos I may want to use for the week, then I use a 4×6 photo template, and arrange the photos I want to fit in the 4×6 accordingly. Some weeks, there are a lot of photos, and sometimes, not so many, so this collage idea really works for me. My photo for each week will always be a 4×6, but the photos can be various sizes depending on how many I want to add per week.Mid-Year Memory Planner UpdateThis planner is going to simplify my memory keeping, and make it look more organized & consistent.

New Memory Planner Spreads

Hello! I’m back today to share some recent Memory Planner spreads with you. These are weekly memories I put in my Empowered Women Classic Size Happy Planner. I am still loving this way of memory keeping!

These pages are from March to right before Easter. Some weeks look more full than others. Sometimes I add a few stickers, sometimes a lot. It just depends on what I’m feeling that week. I’m ok with this flexibility to memory keep as I want!  😊Memory Planner | Created by Jen BlogMemory Planner | Created by Jen BlogIMG_0793My April monthly spread…IMG_0794My favorite spread in this planner so far this year. Gathering Materials for Bible Journaling

Hello! Today I’m sharing the continuation of my Bible Journaling journey. I took a class last fall and practiced this beautiful art form. Lately I’ve been gathering inspiration because I’m ready to really dive into Bible Journaling.

Here are materials I’ve gathered so far…

First of all, you need a Bible. I have the Hope for Today Bible from Joel Osteen. I love all the stories and details it offers throughout the entire Bible. I also would like to purchase a hand-painted Bible, but the right one hasn’t found me yet. Bible Journaling Journey | Created by Jen BlogI have decorated my Bible because it inspires me to open it up. On the cover are sitckers from The Planner Society. On the inside front cover, I have a piece of artwork from Hosana Revival with a quote that I find so inspiring. Then I have a piece of acetate, also from The Planner Society. You may notice all the sticky notes hanging off the side of my Bible. I have been putting Planner Society tabs together with the names of the books of the Bible. Those will replace the sticky notes once I commit to how I’m going to place the tabs.Bible Journaling Journey | Created by Jen BlogI have also added a few of these Crossway books to my Bible Journaling collection. With the exception of the Psalms book, these books of the Bible come with the right hand pages blank, perfect for journaling and artwork. Since I don’t own a proper Journaling Bible yet, I think these smaller books are going to be great for beginning my journey. IMG_0058In my Psalms book, I have begun decorating. I added a Planner Society vellum paper at the beginning, and also tabbed the five books of Psalms.Bible Journaling Journey | Created by Jen BlogI just received this workbook over the weekend. It’s a great new resource for this journey. There are tons of different ideas about how to Bible Journal. I feel this is a new direction for my crafting/scrapbooking/planning life. I am so excited to get started! It’s been weighing deeply on me to get my nose into God’s Word more. I hope to share more soon!Bible Journaling Journey | Created by Jen BlogThanks for stopping by!heart_jen
