Mid-Year Planner Lineup

Hello! It’s July… so you know what that means! New planners! Well, I actually only have one new planner in this lineup, but I am shaking up my planner system a little, just to keep things fresh.

Here’s my #plannerstack…Mid-Year Planner Lineup | Created by Jen BlogMy first & favorite planner (shh! don’t tell the others!), the Classic Glam Girl Happy Planner. She’s my everything planner. I decorate, memory plan, and finish each day with this planner. If no other planners existed, this one would be the only one I need for the year.

But, of course, I enjoy other planners, so, here’s the next one in my lineup. This is the Classic Trendsetter Happy Planner I use for blog & social media planning. I still am loving this planner. I am constantly updating how I use this planner to make it most productive for me. I still dig the quilted hard cover too.

This is the newest planner to my collection. I bought the new Recollections Hourly Planner, which I have used since last summer, but I love this edition even more. This planner is not imperative for my daily planning, but I enjoy recording my days & seeing how I spent my time, so it stays in the lineup. I have also been decorating it more, which makes me happy! I added my favorite Erin Condren cover to it. I just love looking at it.

I re-purposed my Classic Daydreamer Happy Planner to become my faith planner. I really, really like using the horizontal layout for this purpose. The vertical faith planner I had been using kind of cramped my journaling style. I used to use this as a memory planner with photos of each week, but I found a new home for that idea (keep reading…). I love the Daydreamer planner for all things related to faith. It’s bright & happy and I want to open this planner every day and journal.

Finally, this is my beloved Mini Happy Planner. I retired her for a little, but she’s so cute, I had to find a purpose for her! Using her as a weekly memory keeper is perfect. The photos from my Sprocket printer will fit great in here, and serve as a cute record of each week of the rest of the year. The Daydreamer planner was just too big for how I wanted to make it work, so my Mini returns! I also recently bought her a slick black hard cover too, and it looks great with the pink metal discs!

Alright, is that enough planners to keep up with? Lol. It doesn’t overwhelm me though. I love all these planners and the purpose they serve in my everyday and weekly life.ย  I’m not afraid to change it up if it stops working for me.

Thanks for stopping by today, and what does your mid-year lineup look like?

The Return of the Recollections Planner…

Hello! I wanted to share part of my daily planning routine with you today. I use my Happy Planner all the time, of course, but I also love using the Hourly Recollections Spiral Planner every night. The Erin Condren hourly planner first caught my attention last spring, and then Michaels came out with their own version last summer- so I had to try it!

I used it regularly from July-October, then I took a break for November & December. I started to miss it early this year, so I picked it up again, personalized it a bit more, and I am still hooked in May!Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates Blog

Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates BlogMy cover is from Erin Condren, but the guts of the planner is Recollections. It was the first way I customized this planner. I added this vellum sheet from The Planner Society to the inside front sheet. Instant personalization!Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates BlogI use this planner as a way to see how I spent my day, to track habits, work, dinners, weather, and more. I don’t decorate a lot… just stickers or washi here & there. I also use the hours literally- I’ve seen a lot of planners who use the hourly like a vertical and they just ignore the hours… but I actually like seeing the hours & how I spent them!

A peek at how I use it…Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates Blog

Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates BlogI also added a little section in the back for my yearly tracking- doctor appointments, haircuts, etc. and a budget section.Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates BlogI don’t really care for most of the dividers (one of the only bad things about these Michaels planners), so I have covered up most of them with pretty papers and embellishments from my Planner Society kits.IMG_4316

Recollection Hourly Planner Update | JM Creates BlogI think I will definitely be picking up another hourly planner for next year. Do you like tracking your day hourly?

My 2018 Planner Lineup

Hello! This is a post I’ve been trying to write for a couple weeks now! My 2018 planner lineup is sorted out (for now!), so here’s a look at what I’m using to stay organized and to be creative this year. There are a lot of planners listed below, but keep in mind that not all of them are used every single day. Only two of them are. The others are for memory keeping or stay in my purse. I just have a love of beautiful planners, much like other people have a love of collecting books, movies, or shoes.

I am a Happy Planner Girl. I love trying new and different planners (rings, TN’s, spiral bound), but Happy Planners just simply work for me.

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogMy main planner is the Glam Girl lined vertical Happy Planner. I love the lined weeks. The dividers are so girly, and so beautiful too. She’s my fave!!

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogAs much fun as the Glam Girl planner is, I love to play around with Frankenplanning too. There are just too many gorgeous planners and styles out there to just use one! So, inside my Glam Girl, I have also added the Happy Planner Trendsetter. It’s a monthly planner, so I am still playing around with different things to track in it.

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogIn addition, I found the Daydreamer Happy Planner at Hobby Lobby for an insanely low price a couple weekends ago, so this one is my memory planner for the year. I will add photos from my Sprocket printer in each weekly spread and some embellishments. This planner is sooo gorgeous! I’m not a horizontal layout kind of planner, but for this purpose it will work for me.

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogMy final Happy Planner for the year is my beloved Mini. I started using a Mini last year, and I love the small size. It is too little for all my planning needs (and I’ve tried to make it work!), but it’s great for quotes, gratitude or tracking purposes.

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogNow for some more planners I will be using!

I have this lovely Kate Spade personal planner, and I have in the past taken this in my purse for quick references. I also had the Mini Recollections planner. I turned it into a Mini Happy Planner, but wasn’t crazy about it. So, I turned the cover into the opening dashboard in this personal planner. I love it!! As for the insides of the Mini Recollections planner, it is in my Mini Happy Planner as an alternative layout for my weekly spreads.

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogA new addition is this beautiful Planner Society B6 TN that was included in the December kit. I am not good at using TN’s for everyday planning (maybe because I’m left-handed?). I’m going to make monthly inserts using my Planner Society kits and adding photos and memories from each month in it.

My 2018 Planner Lineup! | JM Creates BlogThe final planner I’ll be using is a Pocket TN. I’m expecting a new Planner Society one at the end of January, and I can really see it as an on-the-go purse planner. I’ve got the inserts ready to go!

Thanks for sticking with me until the end! What does your planner lineup look like?
