As I mentioned in my post from Easter, I am excited to get back into blogging, especially right now when so much is going on in our world. I want to bring a little distraction to all that news and get back into crafting and photographing and sharing it all.
As a little re-introduction, I am Jen, and I have been a scrapbooker since 2006. I joined the online scrapbooking world in 2008, and I was so excited to find others like me who love photos and paper!
I started my decorative planning journey in 2015. Again, what a great community the planning community is as well! That’s what this blog is all about. I hope you enjoy your time here with me!
My happy place! 🙂
I have a few new scrapbook pages to share today! I am trying to get back into a scrapbooking mood, and I like how these layouts turned out!
On each of these layouts, I used repurposed dashboards from an old Happy Planner that I didn’t use for planning. These floral dashboards are gorgeous!
This layout features me! 🙂This is my pretty girl Athena…Current picture of my craft room…
Hello! I hope you’re not tired of holiday-related posts yet, because I have more to share! 😅
I made a few layouts at the end of the holiday season, and I love how they turned out, so I’m sharing them with you today! For the first three layouts, I used the Sugarblush paper pad from Michaels. I love the pinks and golds in these papers.
First up is a a look at my scrap room, all decked out. I love to record how all our rooms looked during the season.Next is my baby girl in her new robe. We find a lot of cute doggy outfits out there, and if they’re small enough, Athena gets something new for her wardrobe, lol. She’s a snuggler, so this pink robe my mom found is perfect for her! Here’s a family portrait from Christmas. It’s a challenge getting all four birds to behave together at once, but they did great! For my last layout, I used this Grinch die cut that I bought at a previous Scrapbook Expo. My mom loves the Grinch, so I thought I would use it and a cute pic of her together! That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by!
Hello! I thought it would be fun to walk down memory lane and share how my craft space has evolved over the past decade.
My crafty storage space actually began in a vintage trunk. I outgrew that very quickly. So then, I moved down to the basement, in around 2006. There was a table and desk down there, and I made my crafty home down there for about a year or two.
I then had the brainy idea to turn our spare bedroom into a crafty paradise in 2008. I actually called it Scrap Land for several years. I used the same desk that was in the basement (and was my grandparents’). I remember I had a lot of fun shopping for new storage units. I have never stopped loving that. 🙂My mom painted the desk white, and I still love it to this day. The trunk on the left of this photo is the one I started out with for my scrapbooking storage!I loved having these paper racks! Then, in 2010, we got new carpet all throughout the house. My hardwood floor wasn’t actually too bad looking. Here’s a look after the very bright carpet was laid and my room was put back together.I have switched up my desk and other things in my room over the years. It keeps the room fresh.Last fall, we repainted most of the house and I had dreamed about having a brick wall in my space. I found the perfect wallpaper! And, after the painting and papering were complete, my desk moved again- surprise!I love my two big bookcases, and I have tried to pare down my collection of stuff so they look nice, and not just jam-packed, lol.I added the small cabinet earlier this summer. It’s perfect for my small planners and photo albums. One last look…this is how my room looks currently!
I love, love, love my space and I enjoy reworking it (often) to fit my current crafty obsessions.
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my crafty space!

Hello!I don’t know about you, but it’s time for a new season, I love to freshen up my space. When I stir things up, it seems to renew my creativity as well. Here’s a look at my craft space, all ready for summer crafting!I recently added (stole, he he) this cute three-shelf bookcase with doors from my mom! She bought a new piece of furniture, so I got to thinking that it would make a beautiful display case for some of my planners & albums. This piece is almost twenty years old, but it really looks like new! It’s the perfect size for this corner of my room, and I’m crazy about how it looks in here! Here’s a look inside the bookcase…I am loving all things acrylic these days! This is a cute tray from Target on top of one of my washi containers from Michael’s.When it comes to my bookcases, I struggle between loading them up (as space is limited for all my supplies), and creating cute vignettes. I think I am reaching a happy medium with this display. The tassel garland adds just enough sparkle & color! My favorite shelf 🙂
