Hello! I’m back today with some more storage ideas for your crafty supplies.
Today is all about paper. Scrapbook paper is the base for so many projects. It’s an easy supply to find and is affordable, so it’s easy to find yourself with a lot of it and it can get unorganized easily.
I have a few ways I organize my paper collection. First, I have paper racks that came from a local store that was not using them any more. I was very lucky to get them at the time, and there are places you can find these racks, or something similar. Another great option are these stackable paper trays and magazine holders.
I organize most of my paper by designer or collection. This is a close-up of my Dear Lizzy collection.
This paper rack below stores my holiday specialty paper and my cardstock. It’s located in the corner of my room, as I use these papers the least, but I can’t part with them yet. On top is a Felicity Jane box, which houses more papers. I just love the black & white design of the box, so it stays!
Now onto another storage issue- what to do once you’ve created with those scrapbook papers?
I used to store all my scrapbook layouts in 12×12 three-ring albums. Those things are big & heavy! If you only have a few, not a problem… but once you get into double digits like me, it’s too much.
So after a lot of thought, I started buying Iris boxes to store my layouts in. These boxes are awesome! They hold tons of stuff! I left my pages in page protectors, took them out of my albums and organized the pages by subject, just as they were in my albums. The Iris boxes, even when full, are light and easy to handle. They stack easily too.
