Hello! I’ve got a fun idea to share with you today. I have been debating what to do with some of my Planner Society scraps and leftover die cuts and accessories. I think I’ve found a great solution to use up my stash and I get to have some of my memories included!
I made a couple mini books (about 5″ x 4″) using the May & June kits. You could use any sort of scrapbooking paper collection and accessories to make these, but the kits I get all coordinate, which makes these books a snap to put together. I bound these books with a couple binder rings, but in the future I may use some ribbon scraps instead for more texture.I plan on using this mini book for some fun summer photos. The size is perfect for Sprocket sized photos.
Here’s a look at the inside of this one…
I added some die cuts, but not too many so I have room to add photos and maybe a little journaling.
I used the tiny bag that the stickers come in and placed a die cut over the flap. It’ll be perfect for adding momentos, notes, and other little items I collect this summer.
This is the second little book I made, using the May kit.
I didn’t have many paper scraps left, so I used these mainly for the covers (which I cut out of light chipboard for sturdiness) and added plain pink cardstock (from Michael’s) for the inside pages.
Doilies and flowers- two of my favorite decor items!
Here’s a little bonus- a look at how I am currently storing my Planner Society papers. I have them in the original bags (cut down a little), and stored by month on top of my Raskog Cart.
It’s quick & easy to grab the bag I want to use & all the papers and scraps are inside.
And, here’s a look at where I keep the stickers, die cuts, and other goodies that we get in the kits. I love acrylic storage!
I am not keeping the accessories together by month any more. I am sorting them by type, as that seems to be the way I am crafting these days. So, all the stickers are together, the tabs are together, journaling cards are all together, etc. That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by!
